The LeBlanc family tends to take the traditional Acadian versatility to extremes. Since the late 1960s, we have been involved as a family in boatbuilding, commercial, residential and wharf construction, as well as lobster fishing. Although these activities are traditional endeavors in Nova Scotia’s Acadian fishing communities, we felt that our boatbuilding business was ready to step firmly into the 21st century and take full advantage of the latest advances in hull design and material technology. We subsequently sold out our full-season lobster fishing operations and wound up our other commercial business operations so we could build boats full time.

We have been building first-quality commercial and pleasure craft up to 55 feet for more than 25 years in our yard in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia. Wedgeport is an Acadian village located near the town of Yarmouth, on Nova Scotia's South West Shore. The area is surrounded by the stormy waters of the Bay of Fundy, home to large tide rips, and some of the highest tides in the world. Our vessels are built to meet the demanding standards of those harsh conditions and are now sailing off the east coast of North America, the Gulf of St. Lawrence waters off Quebec, and the islands of St. Pierre & Miquelon.
