Southport Island Marine is located on Southport Island in the Boothbay Region of Midcoast Maine. This inland boatyard is proud of its well-earned reputation for uncompromising quality in its boatbuilding and maintenance and repair efforts.

Southport Island Marine is best known as the builder of the classic Southport 30 fiberglass lobsterboat cruiser. The Southport 30 is custom built in hardtop, bass boat, or launch configurations. We build each boat to a customer’s unique specifications. The Southport 30 is elegant, quiet, efficient, and capable.

In 2007 we introduced a fiberglass version of the elegant, quiet, and efficient Handy Billy 21 powerboat, thus making a proven classic available in fiberglass for the first time.

We build a beautiful 13 foot Whitehall pulling boat as well, the Southport 13.

Southport Island Marine is also proud to be assisting in the design and building of a new fleet of sail-training vessels for the Outward Bound Sea Program here in Maine. The Hurricane Island 30 is proving to be a successful and exciting new vessel for this storied program.
