Mimi Steadman Handmade Jewelry

The colors, shapes, sizes, and textures of semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls take hold of my imagination as I envision all the different ways to combine them, wrap them in wire, set them off with chain, and ultimately make them into jewelry designed to stand out from the ordinary.

I also pair vintage sea glass with such jewels as amethysts, freshwater pearls, and rose quartz. It seems totally appropriate to put the gems and sea glass together, as in both cases their unique beauty has been forged by Nature.

Working in a studio at the water’s edge on Maine’s midcoast, I design both delicate pieces and larger, chunkier pieces in order to offer something to suit every customer’s taste and style. Everything is made using sterling silver or 14-carat gold fill chain, wire, and clasps, so that the jewelry will last for many, many years.

As much as I enjoy designing and making the jewelry, it gives me even more pleasure to see my pieces being worn and enjoyed. What could be nicer than providing other women with adornments to complement their own natural beauty? I hope you enjoy my work.
