Village Farm Alpacas and Shop

Village Farm Alpacas is an 1840 hilltop farm that overlooks the historic shipbuilding village of Waldoboro, Maine. Since 1999 we have been raising alpacas and have seen the investment in our herd grow from four animals to 25.

As alpaca breeders we sell high-quality registered breeding stock as well as beautiful handcrafted 100% alpaca yarn and alpaca apparel in our farm store. Our alpacas provide us with so many things--a way to build equity and income, a daily rhythm on the farm that centers us, and soft and luxurious fiber that Bonnie spins and weaves.

Our farm store is open seven days week year round and we give an educational tour of the farm and animals to farm visitors to educate them about the alpaca products they have purchased. Our farm store features soft alpaca teddy bears, berets, Tartan blankets, unisex vests, 100% alpaca full capes, gloves, ski hats, elegant sweater coats, knitted woman’s sweaters, scarves, shawls, and Julie Christie Fur Hats.

We are just around the corner from Moody’s Diner in Waldoboro. If you are interested in buying an alpaca, you should make an appointment with us… early in the morning when things are quiet.
