Big Hed designs was started in Vermont in 1987 by two urban transplants, Charles Woglom and Sarah Barnes. Charlie is the artist and his designs are recognized around the world. They have been pictured in magazines, used as illustrations in books, and predominantly sold as tee shirt designs to resort locations in the United States and the Caribbean. Sales began in New England and word of mouth carried the designs farther and farther down the coast, spreading out across the country. Big Hed is now sold in over 500 locations, but it continues to keep that “Mom and Pop” feel of a New England business.

Our designs are funky and humorous and capture the feeling of "being on vacation." We use bright, colorful inks and soft cotton tees that come in an abundance of colors. We also make sandals that feel great on your feet and capture the same whimsical essence as our tees.
