Coastal Creativity Week in Rockland
The Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show has sparked a city-wide collaboration of fun events in Rockland, loosely called “Coastal Creativity Week.” Here's a guide
to some of what's happening:

Open daily during gallery and museum hours, Rockland
Art Walk Treasure Hunt
Explore the museums and galleries of Rockland and search out the special piece of maritime artwork that each participating gallery has on display. Look for the Maine Boats, Homes & Harbor Show logo to identify the artwork. Many galleries will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6. FMI visit: www.artsinrockland.com.

Bay Chamber Concerts presents “Old Friends”

Saturday, August 9, 9 a.m. to dusk, downtown Rockland
“Paint the Town”
The Farnsworth Art Museum’s annual event brings together participating painters, photographers, sculptors, and poets to create artwork in various mediums throughout town from 9 a.m. until dusk. Registration is free; open to artists ages 14 and up. All creations will be auctioned at the museum, from 4-6 p.m. on lawn of the Farnsworth. Saturday, August 9, 6-9 p.m.
at Harbor Square Gallery, 374 Main St., Rockland

Rooftop Soirée and Raw Bar Benefit
Explore all three floors of the gallery’s historic building including the new rooftop gallery and garden with views of Penobscot Bay. $25 admittance includes raw bar and hors d’oeuvres. Cash bar. Tickets are available at the Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show at the Soireé table, or at the door. Proceeds benefit the Kno-Wal-Lin Hospice House. FMI: www.penbayhealthcare.org/rooftop

“Art For the Animals” Fundraiser Auction
