Summary
In August 2019, the Maine Boat & Homes Show hosted what is believed to be the first North American boat race between boats powered by cordless power drills. One boat was designed and driven by students from Searsport's maritime charter school, the Ocean School. The other was sponsored by Maine Boats Homes & Harbors Magazine. The Ocean School crew looked nautica and won on appearance, but the MBHH boat went faster and won the race.
